This policy explains our practices in plain language. If you have questions, email james@sozyr.tech.
1. Who this policy covers#
This policy is from Byte Market Holding Corp (“Byte Market”, “we”, “us”). It covers:
- Byte Market and its brands Sozyr (sozyr.com) and Centrist Creative (centristcreative.com);
- this website, bytemarketholding.com;
- our own apps and sites: Bar Bump, Gozyr and Stargate Project, and our earlier apps Centrist, CentriStack and GetFrendly while they remain available.
Some apps we build belong to our clients. For those, the client decides how its users’ data is used and its own policy applies. See Client apps. Two client apps, PureRipper and DOGWORX, currently link to this page, so they have their own labelled sections below.
2. The short version#
- We collect what the apps need to work: your account, the content you create, and, only with your permission, your location, photos and notifications.
- We use Google Firebase to run our apps, Google Analytics for Firebase to understand usage, and RevenueCat, Apple and Google Play for subscriptions.
- Some apps show Google AdMob ads. Personalized ads may count as “sharing” under some US state laws, and you can opt out.
- AI features send what you enter to AI providers (OpenAI, and for Gozyr, Runway and ElevenLabs) to produce a result.
- We don’t sell your contact details. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time.
3. What we collect and why#
Not every app collects every item below. What an app collects depends on its features. The table in section 4 shows which services each app uses.
Accounts
When you create an account we collect your email address, name and profile details (such as a display name and profile photo) through Firebase Authentication. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may give us a private relay email address instead of your real one. If you use Google Sign-In, Google shares your name, email and profile photo. We use this to create and secure your account.
Content you create
Posts, messages, check-ins, comments, reviews, videos and other content you create or upload are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Storage) and processed by Cloud Functions, in the United States. If you choose to add a photo, the app asks for access to your camera or photo library and uses only the photos you pick.
Location
Apps with maps can use your precise location, but only after you allow it in your device settings. We use it to show maps, distances, nearby venues or events, and check-ins. Maps are provided by Google Maps, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap map tiles, and those providers receive your device’s IP address and the map area being viewed.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Analytics and diagnostics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to record usage events (such as screens viewed and features used), device model, operating system, app version and approximate location derived from your IP address. Where an app uses Firebase Crashlytics, it sends crash reports with device and app details so we can fix bugs. We look at aggregate numbers such as sign-ups, active users and downloads to run the business.
Subscriptions and purchases
In-app subscriptions and purchases are billed by Apple or Google Play. RevenueCat manages subscription status for us, which involves an app user ID, purchase history and device information. We never see your full card number. See our Membership & Subscription Agreement for billing terms.
Advertising
Some free apps show ads from Google AdMob. AdMob can use your device’s advertising ID, IP address and approximate location to show, measure and, where allowed, personalize ads. On iOS, we ask your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking. If you say no, you may still see ads, but they won’t use your advertising ID. See Ads and tracking choices.
AI features
When you use an AI feature, what you enter (text, images or questions) is sent to an AI provider to produce the result: OpenAI for assistants, chat and the AI caddie, and, for Gozyr’s AI video tools, Runway and ElevenLabs. These providers process your input under their own terms. AI output can be wrong; see our Terms of Use. Please don’t enter sensitive information (such as health, financial or government ID details) into AI features. We don’t use your content to train our own AI models.
Online stores
When you buy from a store linked from one of our apps or sites, the store platform (for example Shopify) and its payment processors handle your order, shipping address and payment under their own privacy policies.
This website
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email, company or project, topic and message, plus the page address and your browser type. Each submission is stored as a file in Google Firebase Cloud Storage and emailed to us. This site also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count visits and clicks.
4. Services that process your data#
These providers process data for us. Each has its own privacy policy.
| Service | What it does | Used by |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Hosting) | Accounts, storing your content, running the app and this site | All our apps and this website |

| Google Analytics for Firebase | Usage analytics | Bar Bump, CentriStack, this website |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Push notifications | Bar Bump, CentriStack |

We may add or change providers as our apps change. We update this table when we do.
5. Business communications#
Sozyr sends occasional business-to-business emails to businesses that might want an app, website or AI agent. We use only contact details a business publishes on its own website: the business or contact name, website and published email address. Every email includes our postal address, an unsubscribe link, and the option to reply asking us to stop. When you opt out, we add your address to a permanent do-not-contact list so you won’t hear from us again.
6. How we use information#
- To run our apps, accounts and subscriptions, and the features you choose to use.
- To answer support requests and messages sent through our contact form.
- To keep our services secure and prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
- To understand how our apps are used and improve them.
- To show ads in ad-supported apps.
- To send business communications as described in section 5.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.
8. “Sale” and “sharing” under US state laws#
We don’t sell personal information for money. But when an ad-supported app shows personalized Google AdMob ads, your advertising ID, IP address and app activity can be used for cross-context behavioral advertising. California and several other US states treat this as “sharing”, or in some states a “sale” or “targeted advertising”, of personal information.
How to opt out:
- Turn off ad tracking on your device (see section 9). This stops your advertising ID from being used for personalized ads in our apps.
- Email james@sozyr.tech with the subject “Opt out of sale or sharing”, and we will turn off personalized ads for your account where our apps support it.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out request for the browser that sends it, where the law requires it.
We don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
9. Ads and tracking choices#
- iPhone and iPad: go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and turn off “Allow Apps to Request to Track”, or turn it off for a single app. You can also turn off Personalized Ads under Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.
- Android: go to Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads, depending on your device) and choose “Delete advertising ID”.
You will still see ads in ad-supported apps, but they will be less tailored to you.
10. Your rights and choices#
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email james@sozyr.tech or use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”. Tell us which app or service you used and the email on your account. We will verify your identity, usually by confirming you control that email address, and reply within 30 days, or within 45 days where state law allows that (we’ll tell you if we need the extra time).
Deleting your account
Where an app has a delete-account option in its settings, you can delete your account there. Otherwise, email us and we will delete it. Deleting an app or your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings; see the Membership & Subscription Agreement.
Device controls
You can turn location, notifications, camera, photo access and tracking on or off at any time in your device settings. Some features won’t work without them.
Emails
Use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or reply asking us to stop.
11. California and other US state rights#
If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia or Washington), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it;
- Delete personal information we collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (see section 8);
- Not be discriminated against for using these rights. We won’t deny you service or charge you differently because you made a request.
The categories of information we collect are those described in section 3: identifiers (name, email, device and advertising IDs), commercial information (subscription status and purchase history), internet activity (app and site usage), approximate and, with permission, precise geolocation, and content you create. We don’t use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent, and if you don’t get the result you expected, you can appeal by replying to our response.
12. How long we keep data#
We keep account data and content while your account is active, and delete it after you delete your account, except where we need to keep some records for legal, tax, security or dispute reasons. Contact-form submissions and business emails are kept as long as they are useful for the conversation and our records. Analytics data is kept under Google Analytics’ retention settings. Do-not-contact entries are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to make sure we never contact you again.
13. Security#
We use Google Cloud’s security, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access rules that limit who can read data, and restricted admin access. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee your data will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
14. Where data is stored#
We are based in the United States and store data with Google Firebase in the US. Our service providers may process data in other countries. If you use our apps from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
15. Children#
Our apps and sites are not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. Bar Bump is for adults 21 and over. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
16. Client apps#
We are the development team for apps owned by our clients, including DuckSmart (owned by Mallard Works LLC), PureRipper: Golf + AI, DOGWORX and DeerSmart. For these apps, the client owns the app and its users’ data, and we act as its developer and service provider, handling data only to build and run the app for the client. The client’s own privacy policy governs:
- DuckSmart and DeerSmart: Mallard Works privacy policy.
- PureRipper and DOGWORX: their apps currently link to this page, so their practices are described in sections 17 and 18 until each has its own policy.
17. PureRipper: Golf + AI#
This section applies only to the PureRipper app. It will stay here until PureRipper publishes its own privacy policy.
PureRipper is a golf AI caddie and rangefinder. Byte Market is its development partner and runs the app’s technology. PureRipper collects and uses:
- Account details through Firebase Authentication, including Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In;
- Precise location, with your permission, to measure distances on the course, shown on Google Maps;
- Rounds, scores and photos you choose to add, stored in Google Firebase in the US;
- Usage analytics through Google Analytics for Firebase;
- Subscriptions billed by Apple or Google Play and managed by RevenueCat;
- Ads from Google AdMob in the free version, as described in section 3;
- AI caddie questions, sent to OpenAI to generate advice.
Sections 6 to 15 of this policy apply to PureRipper as well. For access, correction, deletion or opt-out requests, email james@sozyr.tech and we will handle them for the app.
18. DOGWORX#
This section applies only to the DOGWORX app. It will stay here until DOGWORX publishes its own privacy policy.
DOGWORX is the companion app for the DOGWORX K9 gear store (dogworxgear.com). DOGWORX owns the app. Byte Market built it and publishes it on the App Store as its developer. The app collects and uses:
- Account details through Firebase Authentication;
- Photos you choose to add, and other content you create, stored in Google Firebase in the US;
- Location, with your permission, for location-based features;
- Push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging, if you allow them;
- Usage analytics and crash reports through Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics;
- Store orders, processed by Shopify and its payment processors under their own policies.
Sections 6 to 15 of this policy apply to DOGWORX as well. For privacy requests, email james@sozyr.tech. For orders and store questions, contact DOGWORX directly.
19. Changes to this policy#
When we change this policy, we update the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
